The Moody 376 is renowned as being a commodious cruiser. Their huge accommodation and this examples good spec make her a good choice if you are looking to go further afield as well as being equally suitable for family cruising in the UK and Northern Europe. Her shallow draft gives her greater flexibility for canals or shallower harbours.
We sailed a 36ft Westerly Conway to West France for several years and whilst we had no real complaints about it we felt that an upgrade was due. The Moody 376 fitted all our requirements with a few additions such as the 4hp Bowthruster, New Beta engine, the Smart Sterling battery chargers, fridge with freezer using keel sinter to cool compressor and the addition of a shower to the aft heads giving 2 en-suites to the boat. The performance under power was excellent with a high level of control at slow speed ie. turns in her own length. Visibility was excellent under sail and she is a dry boat. The in-mast furling makes reefing easy and vertical battens give good performance. Up-wind performance is good and steady in light and heavy airs. Her overall displacement and ballast ratio makes for a steady boat in rough weather. 12 years of excellent cruising to Channel Isles, North Brittany and down south to Morbihan, Isle de Yeu, La Rochelle and Rochefort. Many happy memories of the boat that looked after us in all conditions.
